NZIM has appointed Fiona Hewitt its new CEO

New Zealand Institute of Management Inc has appointed Fiona Hewitt its new chief executive.  Ms Hewitt has a 20 year career in senior management working for high profile New Zealand travel, insurance, entertainment, non-profit, sporting and human behaviour organisations.

Ms Hewitt's appointment was announced by NZIM chairman Dan Coward.  She will take up her new leadership role at NZIM in early September.

“Ms Hewitt's strategy, business development, marketing, relationship development and stakeholder management skills make her the ideal chief executive to lead NZIM,” said Mr Coward.  “We've been looking to appoint a new leader with the kind of passion and understanding of the importance of management development and education that her career achievements clearly demonstrate. Fiona’s commitment to delivering strong performance results will also strengthen NZIM's place in the very competitive executive development market.”

Ms Hewitt is a member of Touch Rugby’s New Zealand board, was previously CEO of Netball Waitakere and was general manager of the BAU division of insurance company Stream Group and general manager at Ticketmaster. She was most recently a consultant with the consulting agency, Blacksmith.
