Christchurch International Airport has appointed Bakx as chief executive. He is former chief executive of Port Otago and Lyttelton Port.
Tony Bozzard, Ray Chung
Terralink International has appointed Bozzard as the manager of its core geographic intelligence database, Landbase. founding shareholder and director of sales and marketing for Atlantis, Bozzard’s past experience also includes managing Dun and Bradstreet’s database division.
Chung has been appointed international business development manager, with responsibility for extending the company’s existing international markets in Australia, Asia and Europe.
Lotta Bryant
Bryant has been involved in the formation of the Waikato Institute of Technology’s business development unit since April and has now been appointed as its manager, charged with developing Wintec’s relationships with business and industry.
David Christian
SkyCity Hamilton has appointed Christian as its new general manager. He joins the company with 21 years of international experience in hotels and casinos, including time as general manager for the Wrest Point Hotel Casino in Hobart, Tasmania from 1999 to 2004.
Jens Madsen
Ports of Auckland has appointed Madsen to the newly created position of chief operating officer with responsibility for the total operations of the company with the exception of land management. He joins after career spanning 28 years with A.P. Moller-Maersk (Maersk) where he was most recently head of reefer business activities.
Henry Davies
Public Trust has appointed Davies as manager, marketing and communications, based in Wellington. His most recent role was with Westpac Banking Corporation as manager internet business.
Arno Lenior
Lenior is the new marketing director for the New Zealand business of Lion with marketing responsibilities for beer, wines, spirits and RTDs. He joins the company after four years as marketing director for Apple Computers.
Tessa Fraser, Maureen Jackson, Suzanne Bertrand
Livestock Improvement has announced three appointments: Fraser (left) as business information unit manager; Jackson (centre) as product development manager for new business unit, Traceability; and Bertrand, previously senior scientist with ArrayXpress in North Carolina, as innovation manager.
Terry Shubkin
Shubkin, an employee of Unisys for the past four years, has been appointed New Zealand manager of account management. He was most recently acting general manager for global infrastructure.
David Kirk
Kirk took over as CEO of John Fairfax Holdings last month. Well known as the captain of the All Blacks team which won the inaugural Rugby World Cup in 1987, he has held senior executive roles with Fletcher Challenge Paper and Fletcher Challenge Energy and was most recently CEO of ASX-listed printing and media services company PMP.
Brian Kreft
Kreft, Christchurch investment banker, has been appointed independent chairman of the Christchurch stockbroking firm Hamilton Hindin Greene. He is also chair of Mascot Finance and KSL Financial, director of both Paper Plus New Zealand and The National Property Trust, trustee of the Te Kora Trust and fellow of the Institute of Directors and NZIM.
Kate Alsweiler
First Assistance has appointed Alsweiler as its human resources manager. She was most recently employed by Minter Ellison Rudd Watts as solicitor in its employment law team.
Gary Romano, Max Parkin
Romano joins Fonterra as director group manufacturing with responsibility for leading the drive to achieve world-class standards across all Fonterra’s manufacturing sites. He has previously held positions as group general manager of Anchor Products and more recently as operations director for Dairy Partners of America.
Parkin has been director operations since the formation of Fonterra and acting director group manufacturing since June 2005. He becomes director international manufacturing.
Andrew McLeod
McLeod has been appointed as senior consultant with South Island-based Brannigans Human Capital with primary responsibility for new business development. He was most recently an account director with search and selection company.
Christian Casbolt
FCm Travel Solutions has promoted Casbolt to New Zealand general manager. Previously commercial manager, Casbolt has 13 years’ experience in the corporate hospitality and travel industries including five years as head of the company’s specialist brand CiEvents.
