Rod Quin
Hokitika-based Westland Milk Products has appointed Quin as its new chief executive officer. Most recently with Fonterra as global account director, Nestle, based in Switzerland, he has also been Fonterra’s sales director for Europe and Russia. Quin takes up his position mid-April.

Jonathan Mason
A highly experienced finance executive with strong track record internationally and in New Zealand, Mason succeeds Guy Cowan as Fonterra’s next chief financial officer. He joins the cooperative from US-based company Cabot Corporation, where he has been executive vice president and chief financial officer since 2006.

Anthony Romano
A former general manager and board director of Luna Rossa and CEO of Calvin Klein Europe has joined the board of Martin Aircraft Company, developers of the world’s first practical jetpack. Romano runs his own consulting company based in Christchurch and is also an owner and director of the Christchurch tram and gondola companies.

Sonya Berrigan, Murray Streets
Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand has promoted Berrigan, previously group account director, to managing director of the Auckland office, succeeding current MD Dean Taylor, who has been promoted to CEO of Singapore/Kuala Lumpur. Streets has been appointed as general manager Auckland overseeing the Telecom account and continuing in his role as director of strategy.

Craig Taylor
New Zealand shoe manufacturer Kumfs has appointed Taylor as market development manager for international markets outside Australasia, with initial focus on the United States. He brings over 20 years’ experience working in the footwear and apparel industries to the role.

Craig Richardson
Recently appointed chief executive officer of Jade Software Corporation, Richardson has also been appointed as the new president of CPA Australia’s New Zealand branch.

David Pearce
Experience earned from major roles at Fonterra, Unilever and internationally, primarily in human resources management, sees Pearce appointed as the new chief executive officer of CanTeen, the national peer support network, for young people living with cancer.

John Journee, Tim Edwards
Noel Leeming Group has announced changes to its senior management team following the resignation of its current CEO Andrew Dutkiewicz. Journee, an experienced retailer who has spent most of the last 18 years with The Warehouse Group, is the new chief executive officer, and Edwards, most recently with Harvey Norman in Australia, takes on the new position of chief operating officer for the group.

Dene Biddlecombe
The board of Pulse Utilities New Zealand has appointed Biddlecombe as director. chartered accountant, he was formerly chief executive officer of Horizon Energy Distribution in Whakatane and prior to that was chief financial officer and company secretary for NIWA.

Kensington Swan has appointed three new partners: Henley in the intellectual property team in Wellington; Wilson in the advocacy team in Wellington; and Hughes in the advocacy team in Auckland.

National law firm Buddle Findlay has six new partners across its offices in Auckland and Wellington. Cook, Farrugia and Lundon are Auckland based, and Kilty, von Dadelszen and Turner Wellington based.

Environmentally sustainable winery Yealands Estate has appointed Hutchinson as New Zealand market manager. He has over 23 years’ experience in the liquor and hospitality services industry, having worked previously at The Regent Hotel Auckland, DB Group Liquor Division, Montana Wines, Allied Domecq Wines and Pernod Ricard New Zealand.

Eric O’Sullivan
A chartered accountant with many years top level experience both in the accounting profession and in senior finance positions, O’Sullivan has been promoted to group chief financial officer of Tower. He has been acting in this role in temporary capacity since late October 2008.

Kerry Bothwell
Reputation management consultancy Creo has appointed Bothwell to lead its brand and marketing services team, based in Auckland. She replaces principal Andy Allison, who will continue to lead the Wellington team.
