Chief operating officer of Southern Cross Hospitals for the past five years, Moore is now the private surgical hospital network’s chief executive officer. His past experience in the healthcare sector also includes time as the chief financial officer of Counties Manukau DHB.

Joe Schultes
Schultes brings international experience to his position as director on the TelstraClear board. He joined Telstra Corporation in 2007 as deputy chief financial officer, having previously held finance roles for UK-based T-Mobile, global management consultants Bain and Company, and in senior positions in the utility and steel industries in Europe.

Peter Thomas
Funds management company Equitable has appointed Thomas as its new chief executive officer, replacing Ross Aitken who will remain as non-executive director. Thomas joins from ANZ National, is senior associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and chartered accountant.

Christina Saunderson, Grant Parker, Toni Skiffington
Harcourts New Zealand has appointed three senior managers: Saunderson as technology operations manager; Parker as Wellington business development manager; and Skiffington as communications manager. Skiffington and Saunderson are Auckland based.

Andrew Lattimore, Regan Lock
Rental equipment solutions provider Hirepool has appointed two Christchurch-based business relationship managers. Lattimore has responsibility for the upper South Island, Lock for the lower South Island.

Roger Thompson
Staples Rodway has appointed Thompson as managing director in its Auckland office. He replaces Peter Guise who will continue to act as chairman. Thompson has more than 25 years of experience in international property and corporate taxes and family trusts. He started at Staples Rodway in 1994.

Anita Stefan
Previously an international taxation specialist for Ernst & Young in Canada, Stefan has joined Robert Half Finance & Accounting as consultant in its permanent recruitment division in Auckland.

Richard Reid
Previously managing director for the New Zealand and Australian operations of Japanese conglomerate DIC International, Reid is now the CEO of business support organisation Pacific Business Trust. He takes over from Essendon Tuitupou, who has been acting general manager since the departure of former CEO Paul Muller in June last year.

Annemarie Duff
Seek has appointed Duff as New Zealand general manager. She has extensive media sector experience primarily at TVNZ and CanWest and has also been general manager at eVentures.

Marc von Arnim
Overseeing the hotel’s refurbishment will be major focus for von Arnim in his new role as the next general manager of Hyatt Regency Auckland. He replaces fellow Australian Michael Golden who has been transferred to Park Hyatt Saigon.

Trent Mankelow
US-based Usability Professionals’ Association has appointed Mankelow as director-at-large. He is co-founder and director of Optimal Usability, New Zealand’s largest usability consultancy.

Steve McGowan
Robert Half Technology, new specialist IT recruitment division of Robert Half International, has appointed McGowan as division director. He has previously worked as an Auckland manager for an IT recruitment specialist.

Nick Scarlett
Most recently chief executive of American International Assurance (AIA) New Zealand, Scarlett is now general manager – distribution for AXA. He has held number of senior financial sector roles in New Zealand and Asia and been involved in the development of the insurance business in the Asia Pacific region.
