Tim Smart
Also at Royal & SunAlliance, Dr Smart has been appointed product manager – risk, for the life company. Smart, who was in clinical and general practice for 20 years, was most recently head of risk management services at Tower Health & Life, and in 1997 became executive director of the Health Funds Association of New Zealand, the industry body for health insurers.

O’Shea has taken up the role of general manager, Pacific Brands Clothing Group, replacing Bryan Pearson, who has been promoted to head up the Pacific Brands Intimates Group in Sydney. O’Shea was previously the general manager of Sara Lee Apparel, which was acquired by Pacific Brands in March this year.

Senior management changes at Yates New Zealand have been announced. Gray has been promoted from marketing manager – consumer to New Zealand manager; Sydney-based Higgs’ role will be expanded from managing Yates’ Australian commercial business to include commercial operations in New Zealand; and Jakobs, general manager of Yates NZ has moved to the company’s Sydney-based head office to take on the role of general manager – marketing.
