The formation of Royal & SunAlliance Life’s new Strategic Partners business unit has seen three managerial appointments: Young is marketing support manager; Hanning has been appointed business support manager, and Hearst is technology support manager.
Also at Royal & SunAlliance, Dr Smart has been appointed product manager – risk, for the life company. Smart, who was in clinical and general practice for 20 years, was most recently head of risk management services at Tower Health & Life, and in 1997 became executive director of the Health Funds Association of New Zealand, the industry body for health insurers.
O’Shea has taken up the role of general manager, Pacific Brands Clothing Group, replacing Bryan Pearson, who has been promoted to head up the Pacific Brands Intimates Group in Sydney. O’Shea was previously the general manager of Sara Lee Apparel, which was acquired by Pacific Brands in March this year.
Dun & Bradstreet has appointed Bowen as general manager of its New Zealand operations.
Digital software solutions provider Software Images has appointed Bishop as national sales manager, with responsibility for the New Zealand digital media market and all new business. Bishop was most recently Auckland sales manager for ACE Computer Training.

Senior management changes at Yates New Zealand have been announced. Gray has been promoted from marketing manager – consumer to New Zealand manager; Sydney-based Higgs’ role will be expanded from managing Yates’ Australian commercial business to include commercial operations in New Zealand; and Jakobs, general manager of Yates NZ has moved to the company’s Sydney-based head office to take on the role of general manager – marketing.

Recruitment firm Robert Half New Zealand has announced its management team signalling its presence in the New Zealand marketplace. Marriott has been appointed general manager; and Love, Woolliams, and Bayne are all recruitment managers in either the contracting or permanent divisions of the company.
McDonald has been appointed general manager of UnitedNetworks new bandwidth on demand fibre optic service for businesses in the Auckland and Wellington CBDs, UnitedNetworks Communications.
The property finance unit, one of two new business units created within the Bank of New Zealand as result of its amalgamation with BNZ Finance, will be headed by Greenaway.
