INTOUCH: Letter to the editor – Smaller than you think

It was great to see Colin James using the Ministry of Women’s Affairs as an example of how small agencies can make difference, but we are actually smaller than Colin suggests. Rather than having budget of $41.3 million as stated, the actual budget for this year was only $4.7 million – and that included one-off funding of more than $500,000 (from contestable) fund for major research project. We don’t need 10 times the budget to have an impact!

Yours sincerely
Shenagh Gleisner
Chief executive
