INTOUCH – NZIM BUSINESS CHALLENGE 2008

Management magazine and the NZIM are running “The NZIM Business Challenge” again in 2008, with the opening decision due in early August. Entries for the competition are now open via the website (www.businesschallenge.co.nz), with early entries securing discounted entry fee.
The competition is aimed at businesses, with team objectives ranging from building financial understanding to team building, negotiation and time management skills. Over 85 teams from around the country competed in last year’s competition, with NZ Post eventually taking the honours.
Participating companies from 2007 included AMI Insurance, ANZ National Bank, BP Oil, Deloitte, Duncan Cotterill, Farmers Trading Company, Fonterra, ING, NZ Post, NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants, Port of Tauranga, PricewaterhouseCoopers, TelstraClear and ZESPRI International.

Trade Me announces leadership transition

Trade Me CEO Anders Skoe has announced he will step down at the end of September. He will be replaced by Kul Singh Kargil, previously Real Estate Australia Group’s chief commercial and marketing officer.
