New Zealand can boast lot of leading edge talent – as is clear from the recently compiled World Class New Zealand Member Directory. Whether in agriculture or arts, finance or food – we have some impressive players who have proved Kiwis can foot it anywhere in the world.
There are well over 100 people of “world class” stature amongst an overall KEA (Kiwi Expat Association) membership now in excess of 25,000. The directory profiles these people as well as highlighting the 32 who have received World Class New Zealand Awards since 2003.
They’re an extraordinarily impressive bunch whose talents range from film animation to biotechnology – but, whatever their field, it is safe to say their contributions are highly respected by others working in their specific global community of interest.
Nine more of these achievers will be receiving awards for their work at this year’s KEA World Class New Zealand Awards. Seven have already been announced but the Supreme Award Winner and inaugural winner of new category – Friend of New Zealand – will be announced at the March 24 gala dinner being held at the Langham in Auckland. It has now become one of the country’s top business events with some 700 local and international business leaders (including PM John Key) attending. The awards ceremony will be preceded by series of lively presentations from World Class NZ network members that will be held at the University of Auckland.
