JUST GOOD BUSINESS BUZZ : CC debate heats up

The summit on climate change in New York last month brought bunch more pledges for action from attending nations – and hopes for progress at Copenhagen in December.
China, the US and Japan have now made commitments to reduce greenhouse gases and UN Secretary Ban Ki-moon now believes the gathering has saved the Copenhagen negotiations from outright collapse by putting “wind in our sails”. It’s hoped that new commitments from the big industrialised states would prod other countries into action.
China’s president Hu Jintao said climate change would be an essential factor in its economic planning.
