JUST GOOD BUSINESS BUZZ : Greater energy efficiency

The cheapest energy is the stuff you don’t use at all, which is why 2010 promises to be the year of action on energy efficiency. In the US it has been estimated that greener building could meet 85 percent of US demand for energy, while closer to home, office complexes in Australia are getting chunk of government dosh (from the A$90 million Green Building Fund) to help them lower their carbon emissions.
How to do that? The Sustainable Building Conference in Wellington May 26-27 promises to provide some clues.
