Woolworths has announced appointments to its Progressive Enterprises leadership team in New Zealand: Manaton, previously GM marketing, is now GM strategic planning; Higgs takes over as GM marketing.

Rob McLeod
Specialist tax practitioner Rob McLeod has been appointed Ernst & Young New Zealand’s managing partner. former chairman of the firm, he succeeds John Judge who retired from the partnership on 30 June. Five new partners have also been appointed. They are: Paul Mahan, Braden Dickson, Joanne Ogg, Hamish Bowen and Ben Willems.

Terry Allen
The ICEHOUSE has appointed Allen as the new manager for its start-up business programme, ICE Accelerator. Most recently enterprise group director for Microsoft New Zealand, he has also incubated and launched number of new ventures for Microsoft. He replaces Dave Wrathall.

Commercial law firm DLA Phillips Fox has promoted three lawyers in its Wellington office: Matthews as special counsel; O’Leary as senior associate in the corporate and financial services team and Campbell as senior associate in the property, infrastructure and development team.

New executive appointments for Yellow Pages Group include Enoka, formerly general manager, as chief executive officer, Glubb as marketing director, Wright as chief information officer, and Hurn as operations director, and Strawson as human resources director.

Paul Reynolds
Dr Reynolds has been appointed as chief executive officer of Telecom and will take up this position late September. He is currently CEO of BT Wholesale, the wholesale business of UK-based telecommunications and IT company BT Group.

Southern Cross Medical Care Society has appointed Lawton as chief operating officer, management services. She was most recently chief executive at Fertility Associates.

Andy Wynne
DesignTex, Kapiti-Horowhenua’s textile cooperative of 16 textile-related enterprises, has appointed its first chief executive. Wynne relocates to the Kapiti Coast from South Africa where he has spent 16 years in the textile industry.

Mark Brosnan
Brosnan, general manager merchandise, packaged goods for Progressive Enterprises, is the new president of non-profit industry association The Packaging Council of New Zealand.

Tucker, well-known journalism educator and media commentator, has been appointed as leader of the Whitireia Community Polytechnic journalism school in Porirua. He is currently executive director of the NZ Journalists Training Organisation.

Steve Southon
Sealegs Corporation has appointed Southon as national operations manager responsible for improving and developing operational processes and supply chain management.

Shirley Wigley
Most recently responsible for Fuji Xerox in the South Pacific, Wigley has now been appointed country sales manager for Fuji Xerox Printers based in Auckland.

Janelle Coombridge
Coombridge has been appointed full time trainer in the northern region for Harcourts’ training division, The Harcourts Academy. real estate industry veteran, she was most recently lecturer for Massey University’s Real Estate Qualifications Programme.

Christine Donn, Gordon Peel
Hirepool has appointed Donn as company accountant, replacing Peel, who has been promoted to chief financial officer of Hirepool parent company Rakino Group. Donn, qualified chartered accountant, was previously corporate accountant for Energex.
