For SMEs baffled about issues related to health and safety, hiring new employees, pay, holidays and leave, performance management or ending employment relationships, the NZ Department of Labour (DOL) has just launched new series of guides.
These include checklists designed to help employers navigate their way through areas that many SMEs lack the proper resources to deal with.
The Big 6 Guides are available at www.dol.govt.nz/big6. DOL says it will regularly update its content to ensure employers have access to the latest information.
