UpFRONT Accessing Singapore

New Zealand companies may benefit from easier access to Singapore’s government procurement market estimated to be worth $10 billion year, thanks to recent relaxation of access rules.
New Zealand’s Trade Commissioner in Singapore, Robert Skinner, says rules review has made the market more accessible to smaller players and he’s urging Kiwi businesses to take an interest.
Companies wishing to make bid must register with the Expenditure and Procurement Policies Unit. They don’t need local presence, but must demonstrate their ability to be committed and capable. Where appropriate they should place priority on developing local partnerships, says Skinner.
