Katrina Troughton
IBM New Zealand has appointed Katrina Troughton as managing director. She returned to New Zealand from her previous Sydney-based role as general manager for IBM’s business software across Australia and New Zealand. Prior positions also include business unit executive for data management across Asia Pacific and New Zealand software manager.
Troughton was born and educated in New Zealand. She has science and commerce degrees with majors in physiology, pharmacology and economics from Auckland University, postgraduate diploma in health economics and diploma in direct marketing.
She was delighted to come back to New Zealand. “IBM New Zealand is in strong position, and I am looking forward to working with the IBM team and our clients to grow the business further. We have talented team in New Zealand who are able to leverage the strength of IBM’s global offerings by customising and delivering solutions to meet our clients’ requirements locally.”
Troughton replaces Nick Lambert who, after four and half years as managing director, has been promoted to director iSeries, IBM Systems & Technology Group, based in Shanghai, China.

Tracey Cross
Cross, managed funds specialist lawyer and senior associate at Phillips Fox, has been appointed chair of Women in Super (NZ) Incorporated, national non-profit organisation of women associated with the superannuation industry in New Zealand.

Peter Harbidge, Marc Burrage
Formerly practice managers of Hudson, Harbidge (left) and Burrage will now oversee the New Zealand business in general management roles, Harbidge as GM, executive & specialist recruitment, Burrage as GM service & support recruitment.

Andy Greensmith
Auckland-based VCU Technology has appointed Greensmith, an experienced international executive, as its new chief financial officer, as it moves to an IPO.

Karen Jury
The Events Centre, the event, conference and incentive management arm of Flight Centre, has appointed Jury as Auckland manager. She has more than seven years’ experience in the event management and incentive industry, most recently as project manager for the National Health Service (NHS) Leadership Centre in the UK.

Brent Kendrick
Kendrick has been promoted from national sales manager, commercial for HP New Zealand, to general manager of the company’s Personal Systems Group, responsible for driving the strategies for all commercial and consumer desktop-related products.

Jane Fairbridge, Yvette Laugier
Fairbridge (top), previously executive assistant and special projects manager at Click Clack’s head office, will now head up the company’s marketing, sales and distribution operations in the UK and Europe. Laugier has recently been appointed as GM and vice-president of the company’s United States operations.

Michael Collins
Collins is Gallagher Security Management Systems’ new business development manager for Cardax security access systems. He has more than 20 years’ experience in security-focused jobs, primarily with the US Army.

Donna Kerrison
Kerrison has joined recruitment company Drake New Zealand as its new marketing manager, based in Auckland. She has over 15 years of marketing and human resource experience.

Karen Eastick
Eastick has been appointed manager of Forest Lake Gardens retirement village in Hamilton. She was previously nurse manager for the Hilda Ross retirement village, also in Hamilton.
