If you think tracking down builder is hard work – try finding business professional. According to survey of Australasian recruiters, they now head the list of occupational shortages.
Research by the Recruitment and Consulting Services identified the top 10 occupations suffering skills shortages in New Zealand as: business professionals, non-building professional engineers, building associates and technicians, carpenters and joiners, building professionals, non-building engineering associates and technicians, nurses, health professionals and electrical trades – both building and non.
The biggest concern for recruiters remains the lack of suitable candidates – now followed fairly closely by the problem of finding suitable recruitment staff.
