Executives around the globe believe the economy has improved over the past six months but think it’s due to level off. That’s one of the findings of 2004 McKinsey quarterly survey of 7300 executives from 115 countries.
While the state of the economy topped the worry list for many, the hunt for talent and sustainability of consumer spending were also big issues for management. Executives also see outsourcing as beneficial – but more for entire economies than individual companies.
Asia is regarded as having the best growth prospects in 2004 and executives around the world expect the pace of merger activity to keep growing.
