Garnett has been appointed chairperson of the New Zealand Institute of Management (Central Division) board. An NZIM fellow since 1998, Garnett is general manager strategic support at the Civil Aviation Authority. Tuffield, currently general manager at the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology, has been appointed deputy chair.
