Stapleton has been appointed general manager in New Zealand of Bakers Delight. He was previously director of bakery at Woolworths (NZ) for four years. Bakers Delight has just opened the 21st of 50 planned outlets in this country. There are now 420 fully franchised Bakers Delight stores in Australasia.
Qantas has appointed Collins as regional general manager New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, based in Auckland. He has been with Qantas since 1987 in number of senior roles. He headed the airline’s subsidiary Qantas Holidays and its associated companies in Asia, for the last two years.
Cisco Systems has appointed Harding as New Zealand systems engineering manager, based in Wellington. He was previously with Logical Networks NZ.
Bass Hotel & Resorts has appointed Brown (top left) as general manager at the Centra Auckland. He continues as area GM for Bass Hotels for the North Island and Fiji and holds seat on the board of the NZ Tourism Industry Association, and NZ Convention Association. Hawkes (top right) becomes general manager of the Parkroyal Wellington, and Gough (left) is the new marketing manager at Centra Auckland.

Irishman Billy McCluskey from the University of Ulster has taken up the professorship in property studies at Lincoln University. His professional and academic interests are in valuation, specifically the comparative analysis of real property tax systems, public finance and policy, computer assisted mass appraisal modelling and the application of geographic information systems to property valuation.
