Don’t be put off by the simplistic “six steps” part of the title. This book is chock-full of commonsense that is, unfortunately, all too uncommon in business conversations. Stuff like how futile it is to try to do other people’s thinking for them. Why leaders should back off and let other people figure things out for themselves. And how this ups the benefits all round.
Rock’s premise is that since success increasingly lies in the quality of our thinking, it would help if we understood bit more about that bunch of neural pathways between our ears.
He repeats his ideas just enough to hardwire them into your brain without blowing it all to kingdom come through overuse. practical and thought-provoking read.
