Bookcase: The Young New Zealander’s Guide to Entrepreneurship

Described as ‘go-to guide’ for the next generation of New Zealand business leaders, this book has been self-published by author and academic Dr Ian Hunter. He said the motivation was to provide guidance for young Kiwis who want to turn good idea into successful business.
The book itself is an interesting business model, being published with the support of BP, Whitcoulls and AUT Business, and available at retail exclusively through Whitcoulls. And it comes with recommendations from Sir Peter Leitch (the Mad Butcher) whose advice is also featured in the book, Anne Norman, chair of Whitcoulls and Tim Alpe – “An Awesome book!” – founder of Jucy Rentals. It’s endorsed also by the Lion Foundation’s Young Enterprise Scheme.
As primer for young entrepreneurs, school-leavers, undergraduates and those you may be mentoring as they start out on their careers, this is an easy read and motivational. It gives lots of real-world examples that young Kiwis can relate to.
