InTouch : 2009 Leadership Programme applications still open!

Applications are still being sought for the 2009 Leadership Programme which will commence in February 2009. Are you up for the challenge?
As leader with potential, you’re invited to be part of Leadership New Zealand’s year-long programme for mid-career leaders. Be challenged. Learn to listen – really listen. Discover new ways of thinking and decision-making. Then, take up the challenge of living life of leadership, in business and in your community.
Leadership New Zealand takes leadership learning beyond theory. It offers participants unique opportunity to talk to cross-section of today’s leaders, to hear their frank opinions and concerns and learn from their experiences.
The programme allows participants to meet, exchange ideas and work together at regular intervals through an action-packed year.
Candidates are drawn from diverse backgrounds (ie: business, public sector, rural, the arts, religion, community, not for profit), and are selected based on merit.
Places are limited to maximum of 34 each year.
Candidates should:
• have demonstrated leadership capability
• have at least 10 – 15 years’ experience in their field of expertise
• have genuine interest in New Zealand in the broadest context
• have the potential to commit to their community after the programme
• have support from their organisation
