INTOUCH : The 2025 challenge

What will New Zealand’s economy look like in 2025? Will the country have fulfilled the National Government agenda to catch up with Australia?
Those are questions that will be explored via series of three 90-minute panel discussions on the future of New Zealand’s economy being hosted by Unitec this month. ‘Forum for the Future’ will be facilitated by Rod Oram, business commentator and adjunct professor of management and marketing at Unitec.
The October 8 session will consider the 2025 challenge with NZ Institute director Rick Boven and chair of the Electricity Commission David Caygill; the dairy sector’s strategic response will be explored on October 15 with CEO of Dairy New Zealand, Tim Mackle and CEO of Synlait, John Penno; and, on October 22, debate will focus on the tourism sector with Tourism Auckland chief Graeme Osborne and Air NZ’s general manager, international operations, Ed Sims.
