INTOUCH : Top 200 Business Awards

Who is this year’s top executive? Which is the top company? All will be revealed this month when the Deloitte/Management magazine Top 200 Awards are held at the SkyCity Auckland Convention Centre on Thursday November 29.
Nine awards will be presented in all and the finalists have been decided.
They are:
• Deloitte/Management magazine Executive of the Year finalists – NZ Post’s John Allen, Foodstuffs Auckland’s Tony Carter and Infratil’s Lloyd Morrison
• Deloitte/Management magazine Company of the Year finalists – Fletcher Building, Foodstuffs Group and Infratil
• QBE Insurance Chairperson of the Year finalists – David Newman, John Palmer and Henry van der Heyden
• Colliers International Best Growth Strategy finalists – Fletcher Building, Fulton Hogan and Mainfreight
• Marsh Most Improved Performance finalists – Air New Zealand, Infratil and Kiwibank
• NZIM/Eagle Technology Young Executive finalists – Alison Collins from Landcare Research, Mason Pratt from Provoke Solutions and Jo Tarlton from Eco Maintenance
• Deloitte Emerging Enterprise finalists – Actronic, Endace and Zeacom
• Kensington Swan Ethical Governance finalists – Eco-Store, Landcare Research, MetroWater, Northern Gateway Alliance, NZ Aluminium Smelters and Vodafone
• DesignWorks Enterprise IG Visionary Leader – to be announced on the night.
Billed as the business event of the year, the Top 200 brings together this country’s leading business personalities for an evening of celebration with fine food, wine and entertainment. Organisers say bookings for 2007 are already running ahead of last year’s record attendance.
