John Allen Currently NZ Post CEO, Allen has been appointed as chief executive and secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, the first such appointment to be made outside the Public Service or the Diplomatic Service. Allen takes over from the retiring Simon Murdoch this month.

Jim Doyle The board of directors of Compac Sorting Equipment has appointed Doyle as an independent director, newly created position. With more than 20 years experience working in senior management roles both locally and offshore, Doyle currently runs his own company Ecosswi, is director of Actronic, BCS and Motion Industries and was general manager and chief executive of Navman New Zealand.

She replaces James Whiting who has left to pursue personal goals.

Ken Erskine Business growth centre The ICEHOUSE has appointed Erskine as director, start-ups, responsible for strategic leadership, support and coordination of ICE Accelerator and ICE Angels. He brings strategic business and sales experience to the company having held senior management and leadership roles within organisations ranging from local start-ups to global multinationals.

Adam Hopkinson Bay of Plenty law firm Cooney Lees Morgan has made Hopkinson an associate. He has wide range of civil and criminal litigation experience and particular expertise in regulatory prosecutions and employment law.

Philip O’Neill Mitchell Communications Group has lured O’Neill, Kiwi expat, back to Auckland from Melbourne to take up the role of managing director of media in NZ, left vacant when Kevin Blight was restructured out of job last August. nicola milea Drake New Zealand has appointed Milea, an employment specialist, as branch manager of its Albany office. She has 10 years recruitment experience having most recently been employed as an executive recruiter for niche Auckland agency.
