Martin McManus
McManus has been appointed as director of Sony New Zealand. He is the first New Zealander to head the company, the role in the past having been held by Japanese nationals.

Mark Giles
Vodafone New Zealand has appointed Giles, previously managing director of Alcatel New Zealand, as its new director – consumer. He replaces Andrew Barton who has moved to another role within Vodafone.

Charlie Littlefair
Littlefair has taken on the newly created role of general manager, operations, at Metrowater where he will have responsibility for the day-to-day operations of Auckland City’s water and wastewater utility.

David McLean
McLean has been promoted to the position of head of Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB). He has been with Westpac since 1999 as head of the Debt Capital Markets group in New Zealand.

Chris Smith, Ed Aitken
Sovereign has employed two advanced financial planners, both originally from the UK. Smith and Aitken have joined the company’s distribution team as investment development managers.

Richard Collins
Enterprise content management company Interwoven has appointed Collins as managing director, Australia/New Zealand.

Kim Schofield
Schofield, previously business manager at TelstraClear, is now global customer solutions manager, New Zealand, for DHL Express.

Brent Knight
Knight has joined Strategic Finance as an executive director, based in Auckland. He was formerly UDC Finance general manager.

Deb Lyttle
Lyttle has been appointed as facilitator and coach of organisational coaching company Peoplecoach.

Rabin Rabindran
Australian public company MBf Carpenters has appointed Rabindran, an Auckland commercial barrister and international legal consultant to its board of directors.

Mark Wolstenholme
Wolstenholme has joined project based management services company Project Plus in senior business development role. He was previously senior sales manager at TelstraClear.

Andrew Mitchell
Mitchell, currently creative director at marketing communications agency WRC, has been promoted to managing director. He replaces Richard Bleasdale who joins DDB Singapore as associate managing director.

Christine Parker
Carter Holt Harvey has appointed Parker as its new human resources director. Previously with Restaurant Brands, Parker has held senior HR roles within Fletcher Challenge and the Automobile Association.

Peter Stevens
Stevens has been appointed chief executive of EAN New Zealand, replacing Margaret Fitzgerald, who is to head new EAN International joint venture EPCglobal, based in the USA.

Joanna Perry
Perry, senior partner in KPMG’s Audit and Risk Advisory Services practice, has been appointed chair of the Financial Reporting Standards Board (FRSB).
