Kyle Cameron, Stefan Collins, David Levin, Brett Tomkins
Professional services firm Deloitte has welcomed four new partners to its New Zealand partnership. Cameron joins the company’s accounting and advisory practice in Dunedin; and in Auckland, Collins becomes partner in the strategy & operations team; Levin joins the recovery team, and Tomkins the audit practice.

Noel Simpson
Lexel Systems (formerly Computer Brokers) founder Chris Simpson has been succeeded by his son Noel, who has been appointed CEO and will take over the day-to-day management of the New Zealand owned IT infrastructure solutions provider. Chris Simpson becomes executive chairman and will provide planning and governance oversight.

Susan Begg, Patrick Duignan
The Commerce Commission welcomes two new commissioners. Begg, an economist with over 20 years experience advising government and corporate clients on regulatory and competition policy issues, has been appointed full commissioner. Duignan, an economist and corporate financier with experience and knowledge of regulatory economics, has been appointed an associate commissioner.

Graham Renwick
Southern Cross Hospitals has appointed Renwick as national services manager, overseeing the provision of IT, procurement and marketing services. He was formerly general manager villages for Guardian Health Care.

Pieter Burghout
Chief executive of the Building Research Association of New Zealand (BRANZ), Burghout will act as chair of the Construction Industry Council while review of the council’s role and structure is completed and until new chair is elected. The council’s previous chair, Richard Michael, stepped down in April.

George Frazis, Charles Pink
The New Zealand Bankers’ Association (NZBA) has elected Frazis, chief executive officer of Westpac New Zealand, as its chairman for 2009/10. Pink is the association’s new deputy chairman. He is managing director and chief executive of ASB Bank.

Patrick Dwyer
Currently CFO of ING Korea, Dwyer has been appointed as the new CFO for all of ING NZ’s business divisions. He has 20-year history with the ING Group and has extensive knowledge of worldwide insurance and funds management markets, especially in the Asia Pacific region.

Giselle McLachlan
The Institute of Financial Advisers (IFA) has appointed McLachlan as an independent director. She replaces outgoing chairman Ross Butler who concludes his final term at the end of next month. McLachlan runs her own governance and leadership consulting business, Clear Counsel, is national chair of the Silver Ribbon Foundation and on the board of the Earthquake Commission.

Amelia Cairns
Donovan Boyd Communications has appointed Cairns to the team as senior account manager. Her past experience includes three years in the public affairs team at Genesis Energy, and work at the Ministry of Social Development in Auckland.

Jeff Healey
Responsibility for leading key component of Hewlett-Packard’s adaptive infrastructure portfolio of products and solutions is the focus of Healey’s new role as BladeSystem business manager for the company’s technology solutions group, South Pacific.
