UPFRONT : LETTERS Long-term happiness

Congratulations on your excellent article (“Don’t worry: be happy”, September cover story). I’ve been teaching these principles since 1989, when I retired from international corporate business in Japan.
It is really nice to see something now being accepted as the norm that when we started many years ago was regarded as freaky and weird.
Keep up the good efforts. Companies need this kind of thinking and behaviour for the benefit of the company, the employees and society. Well done.
