Immature mobility

When it comes to using mobile technology to drive revenue, enhance customer and citizen management and be more competitive, New Zealand enterprises are more immature than their global counterparts, according to new research from technology company Unisys.

The Unisys survey, conducted by IDG Connect, suggests that New Zealand companies are slower to embrace mobility as a core part of their business and IT strategies. The majority are apparently focused on using mobility for internal business processes rather than for customer-facing procedures or revenue generation.

Most organisations in the 13 countries surveyed, have mobility strategies in place. However, just 21 percent globally and 10 percent in New Zealand, place themselves in the more mature mobility category.
