In the year ended December 2010, Indonesia was New Zealand’s seventh largest export market.
On recent visit to this country, New Zealand ambassador to Indonesia David Taylor highlighted the strong potential to deepen trade and investment connections between New Zealand and Indonesia in both directions.
Headed by international business leader Sir Kenneth Stevens, the group will visit Jakarta and other important secondary sectors including Bandung, Surabaya and Bali from 18-31 May.
Organised by the ASEAN NZ Combined Business Council and Export New Zealand, the mission has full support from Taylor, and trade commissioner, Jakarta, Tim Anderson.
At the local level it will draw on the resources of the Indonesia NZ Council and the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce, Kadin.
The trade mission includes high level forum in Jakarta with ministerial involvement, plenary and sector briefings, site visits, business matching, and specific activities for, among others, the education, aviation, geothermal and food and beverage sectors.
Mission members can choose to join the full two-week group or focus on Jakarta only in the first week.
