BOOKCASE : The Career Guide for Creative and Unconventional People

Carol Eikleberry • Ten Speed Press • RRP $34.99

This third edition contains an inside look at the ‘creative personality’, self-described eye-opening self-evaluation tools and real-life success stories. While it’s all very nice to step outside the square in terms of career planning – any book which recommends both becoming the director of the Council on Ageing (if you are born negotiator) or puppeteer (if performing is your forte) just seems to be painting too broad brushstroke for me. However, licensed psychologist Eikleberry says it can be done. And if it doesn’t work for you – one of her suggestions is to join support group.
Sorry, too American and out there for the local scene.
