Gael Hargreaves
Revera, New Zealand owned provider of ICT infrastructure services and storage, has appointed Gael Hargreaves as CEO. She succeeds company co-founder Roger Cockayne who will remain involved in strategic initiatives as board member and majority shareholder.
Hargreaves, who was the company’s CFO until 2009, has more than 20 years’ experience in general and financial management, including senior financial management roles with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and ASSA ABLOY New Zealand.

Scott Abel
National law firm Buddle Findlay has appointed Scott Abel as new partner in its Auckland office. member of the banking and finance team, he will specialise in insolvency and debt restructuring, corporate and secured finance, and securities advice.

Graeme Back
Heritage Hotel Management has appointed Graeme Back as the new general manager of Heritage Auckland. He has been the group general manager of Treasure Island in Fiji for the past five years.

Jan Zijderveld
Global consumer goods company Unilever has appointed Jan Zijderveld as president for Western Europe. As member of its worldwide board, he will run one of the company’s three global regions.

Rosanna Baird, Sharyn Bell
Chartered accountancy firm Staples Rodway Waikato has promoted two key women. Rosanna Baird (left) replaces Peter Bridges as managing director and associate Sharyn Bell is now director.

John Prendergast
John Prendergast has been appointed New Zealand manager of The Lion Partnership, global consultancy that evaluates business insurance programmes to help organisations improve insurance quality and achieve cost savings. Prendergast has had extensive experience as manager and consultant in the New Zealand corporate sector over the past 25 years.

Pip Dumbill, Amanda Van Gorp
Educational publishing and services company Learning Media has appointed Pip Dumbill (left) as account manager – global services where her focus will be on developing the company’s international contract publishing business. Amanda Van Gorp has been appointed account manager – health. Her focus will be on developing health education resources.

Rick Osborne
Communication Agencies Association of New Zealand chief executive Rick Osborne has stepped down after three years in the role to join Fonterra as group general manager, external relations responsible for government relations, trade strategy and regional relations. He takes up his new role this month.
