Gen-i and SAP partner to mobilise NZ business

It  takes organisations mobile with cloud based out-of-the-box and custom mobile applications for iOS, Android, Windows and BlackBerry platforms.

The partnership will add considerable momentum to Gen-i’s growth strategy by significantly enhancing the company’s mobility capabilities, an area of relevance and value to New Zealand business and Government as they move towards mobile way of working.

The rapid surge in adoption of smartphones, tablets and cloud-based social applications is driving significant social change, with users expecting ready access to information and the ability to work, conduct business, socialise, shop and play – anytime, anywhere and on any device.

Mobile applications play critical role in enabling this. When combined with high speed networks, mobile service management, and cloud infrastructure, mobile applications can truly mobilise an organisation, delivering greater customer insight, engagement, collaboration and productivity.

The partnership between Gen-i and SAP can benefit both private and public sector organisations by improving access to mobile software applications.

Available on subscription basis and hosted in high resiliency, in-country data centres, the new MaaS service will provide Gen-i clients with ready access to about 300 mobile applications on the iOS, Android, Windows and BlackBerry platforms.

Gen-i will also provide custom application service through the wider mobile applications development community, deploying comprehensive solutions quickly and inexpensively while integrating with clients’ enterprise systems. Gen-i partner Infosys will provide specialist support for installation of SAP’s managed mobile services into the Gen-i cloud, and systems integration where required.

Through partnership with SAP, Gen-i will offer portfolio of mobile applications for wide range of business scenarios, including employee productivity and workflow, complex business processes and business to consumer engagement. Users will enjoy anytime, anywhere access to view, edit, share, and collaborate on personal and business content, via easy-to-use, native mobile applications.
