Peter de Boer
Hudson has appointed de Boer as the new general manager of its Wellington practice. He has been with Hudson and its predecessors since 1995 and was most recently Hudson’s regional general manager for greater western Sydney.
Tom Osborne
Formerly national sales director for Yahoo!Xtra, Osborne has joined APN Digital Media as its new commercial director. He takes over from Spencer Bailey who has been promoted to chief operating officer for APN Online.
Michael Nicholas
Global cost management and procurement consultancy Expense Reduction Analysts has appointed Nicholas as regional training and development manager for its Australian and New Zealand operations. Nicholas has franchise industry experience as both an executive and franchisee. He worked for McDonald’s in Australia for over 20 years, and more recently was franchisee of The Coffee Club.
Craig Brown
ING New Zealand has appointed Brown, 17-year industry specialist, as senior analyst within its investment team, where he will be involved with research in both the equity and listed property sectors. He was formerly principal at an Auckland-based boutique funds management firm.
Paul Keleghan
In his new role as head of development for Jade Software Corporation, Keleghan has responsibility for 100 Jade application developers. He was most recently with the British government in the Home Office and prior to that the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Defence. At Jade he replaces Kevin Callaghan who retired in December after 22 years with the company.
Kim Conner
Canon New Zealand has appointed Conner as the new general manager of the company’s Consumer Imaging Products Group (CIPG), replacing Craig Manson, who was appointed managing director of Canon New Zealand last August. Conner was most recently general manager of Schwarzkopf Professional.
Roger Hatrick-Smith
The ICEHOUSE has appointed Hatrick-Smith as its CFO. He was formerly partner with Ernst & Young providing strategic, business and financial advice to high growth New Zealand businesses.
Sam Stubbs
Tower has appointed Stubbs as leader of its investment business. Most recently Hanover Group’s CEO, he has international and domestic industry expertise and from 1997-2006 held leadership roles with Goldman Sachs in London and Hong Kong.
Tim Miles
A former managing director of Vodafone NZ and Vodafone UK, Miles has been appointed as the new chief executive of rural services provider PGG Wrightson. He takes over from Barry Brook who will become PGG Wrightson group general manager for South America. Miles’ appointment is effective from March.
Chris Tobias
Wright Communications has appointed Tobias, an American sustainability strategist, as consultant. He joins from Green Globe where he was the business development manager of the environmental accreditation programme for the tourism industry.
Mark Weenink
Following an international search, trans-Tasman law firm Minter Ellison Rudd Watts has appointed Weenink as its managing partner in New Zealand. He succeeds retiring CEO Russell Hay. Weenink was most recently head of legal for Challenger Financial Services Group (Asset Management Division) in Sydney.
Sue McCarty
The Marketing Association has appointed McCarty, an experienced marketer with over 20 years’ industry experience, as it new chief executive. She succeeds Keith Norris who led the organisation through period of extensive growth during his 16-year tenure.
