With 25 years’ investment banking and financial markets experience, he is an advisory board member of the New Zealand Government Debt Management Office, chairman of Trust Investments Management and of the PIE Funds Management, director of Select Access New Zealand and trustee of Auckland City Mission Foundation.
Alison Paterson is chairman of Abano Healthcare, the Centre for Research Excellence Growth and Development (University of Auckland) and BPAC NZ. She is deputy chair of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, director of Metrowater and Maori CORE, and councillor of Massey University and of Barnardos.

David McConnell is managing director of McConnell Group, including McConnell Property, Hawkins Construction, Steelpipe New Zealand and Steelpipe Australia. His considerable business experience is combined with passion for harnessing better thinking to create service and delivery leadership. He is director of the Committee for Auckland, member of the University of Auckland’s Business School Advisory Board and recipient of the Sir Peter Blake Emerging Leadership Award 2006.
Reg Birchfield is business journalist and publisher. As founding director of Fourth Estate Holdings in 1971, he was editor and publisher of National Business Review, The NZ Business Who’s Who, Capital Letter and other publications. He established Profile Publishing, publisher of NZ Management and other magazines, in 1984. He is now director of RJMedia and Life Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management.
Helen Robinson has led numerous businesses, including her own software company, and was recently CEO of Microsoft New Zealand. She was founding chief executive of TZ1 Registry, the world’s leading environmental markets registry that was acquired by Markit Group this year. theme of Robinson’s career has been strong passion and drive to deliver value to stakeholders through technology and innovation. She currently serves on several boards including NIWA, the Business Excellence Foundation and Auckland Plus – she also chairs Auckland’s Metro Project Action Plan’s Innovation Strategy.
