Supply chain management is the focus of the Connecting the Dots conference being held in August. New Zealand business people from various sectors will meet again to hear about leading-edge developments in technology and in practice from around the world. They will be attending the third in series of annual “Connecting the Dots” conferences in Auckland. This year’s event will be opened by Health Minister Pete Hodgson with an address on moves to introduce automatic data capture and retrieval for improved patient safety in the New Zealand healthcare system. Other speakers will discuss the application of bar coding and other technologies in the healthcare supply chain, from pharmaceutical and medical supplies manufacturers to the patient bedside, radio frequency identification, and beef traceability.
The conference will be held at Auckland’s Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre, on 21 and 22 August.
