Human resources consulting company Right Management has appointed Troute as its managing director for New Zealand. She was formerly McDonald’s New Zealand’s managing director.
Vicki Hamilton
Effective this month, Hamilton takes over as executive director of the Food Industry Group (FIG), replacing Rob Bree who has new role in the IT industry. Hamilton has extensive food industry experience, most recently with Kellogg’s.
Ashley Abbott
New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) has appointed Abbott as its communications manager. Most recently with New Zealand Trade & Enterprise, Abbott has worked in variety of marketing and communications roles in New Zealand and overseas.
Phil Armstrong
A former financial controller at both Prime Television and the Radio Network and most recently an account manager for Newstalk ZB and Radio Sport, Armstrong is now finance director of new online media company Yahoo!Xtra.
Toni Hilton
Unitec New Zealand has appointed Dr Hilton as head of the Unitec Business School. Originally from the UK, Hilton took up head of department role at AUT in 2005.
Sandy Sergeant
Sergeant is the new manager of Hudson’s government recruitment practice. An experienced recruitment practitioner with more than 15 years’ experience, she replaces Gerald Scanlan who is now relationship leader with the Leadership Development Centre.

The Edge, Auckland’s performing arts and convention centre, has two new directors: McMeeken, formerly Netball New Zealand chief executive, as director, corporate relations; and Mansour, previously Dynasty Hotel Group director international and incentive sales, as director, conventions and business events sales.
John Tombleson, Russell Stephens
Ihug has announced two senior management appointments: Tombleson, Vodafone’s acting financial director at the time it acquired ihug last October, has been appointed as chief financial officer; Stephens, previously Vodafone’s general manager of planning and strategy for customer care, is now ihug’s general manager of customer care.
