UPFRONT : Calling exporters to the US

Entries close this month for the 2006 American Chamber of Commerce-UPS business awards which recognise local companies doing their bit to contribute to bilateral trade currently worth around $8.7 billion – or about 12.5 percent of New Zealand’s total earnings from offshore trade.
AmCham executive director Mike Hearn says the annual Innovation and Success Awards recognise and honour entrepreneurship, innovation and achievement in creating mutually beneficial trading relations with the US. Previous winners include Zespri International, Peace Software, Pulse Data, Tenon and Airways Corporation.
Entries close at 5pm on September 15 and winners will be celebrated at black tie dinner on November 8.
