Cindy Mitchener
Mitchener was recently appointed chief executive of eVentures, the new firm that provides investment and incubation services — capital, location and facilities — for both new and established Internet businesses.
eVentures was launched by Craig Heatley last October, with partners SOFTBANK Corp and epartners each holding 40 percent shares, and the Heatley family 20 percent.
Mitchener was formerly CEO at Touchdown Productions, and has had management positions at Saatchi & Saatchi Auckland, TV3, and TVNZ.

Alison Quesnel
Quesnel has been appointed general manager of health supplements company, Blackmores. She was formerly chief executive of Business in the Community, the national mentoring service, and she remains an elected director.
Quesnel was also previously marketing and sales manager for Hubbard Foods and managed export marketing for Taura Natural Foods.

James Kennedy
Kennedy is the new CEO of Swichtec Power Systems following the retire-ment of the current CEO, John Morrissey. Kennedy, who joined Swichtec last year, was formerly regional director, Asia Pacific for Alcatel Telecom, based in Malaysia.

Mirvac Hotels has appointed McBain as general manager of both Quay West Auckland and the Sebel Suites Auckland. She was formerly general manager of Quay West Sydney for four years.

Telecom Directories has appointed Casey as information services manager. He has l0 years’ experience in IT manage-ment positions in Telecom.

Payne is the new general manager of AT&T Global Network Services. He was previously managing director of CallPlus, NZ.

Maxxium NZ appointed Abercrombie as managing director of the Jim Beam Brand marketing company. He was regional director for the Lion Breweries’ Northern Brewing Division, and also general manager of the All Blacks Club in 1994.

Ericsson NZ has appointed Eriksson as general manager for the Telecom account. He has worked for Ericsson International for 21 years, with six spent in the US market.

Gina O’Brien
Millennium Rotorua has appointed O’Brien as conference and incentive manager. Her last position was sales manager at the Bruce Mason Centre, Takapuna.

Aspden is the new national product manager for Chrysler-Jeep in New Zealand. Prior to this he was the regional sales and marketing manager for Mercedes-Benz dealership.

Tillson has joined Daihatsu NZ as its national sales manager. He has 20 year’s experience in the motor industry, and was recently branch manager for Kirk Motors in Dunedin.

Cisco Systems has promoted Hemingway as the new country manager for New Zealand, replacing Steve Coad who is transferring to China.
