It’s first for this part of the world – recognition from the global Project Management Institute for his contribution toward the global profession goes to Iain Fraser, CEO of New Zealand-based Project Plus.
Fraser was presented with the prestigious PMI Fellow Award at the recent PMI Global Congress in Florida, US. It’s the first to be awarded to person anywhere throughout South East Asia or Australasia and is one of only 50 globally.
Fraser is past chair of the board of directors at PMI and also has number of other governance roles in various for-profit and not-for-profit organisations. He’s worked in many parts of the world across range of sectors and is internationally known for his insights and expertise on project-based management.
Fraser says the award is very special one that he feels humbled to receive.
“The profession of project management has allowed me to interact with many of the world’s great leaders and I’m convinced that, as the global economy recovers, leaders will look further towards the many facets of project-based management as the catalyst for change and economic growth.”
