Chapman Tripp wins NZ Deal Team of the Year at Australasian Law Awards

Chapman Tripp’s corporate and commercial team was named New Zealand Deal Team of the Year at the 2016 Australasian Law Awards, held in Sydney recently.

“We are very proud to win this award for the second consecutive year. It is an honour to be acknowledged by the Australasian legal community and it reflects the pride we take in our work and the commitment we have to our clients,” chief executive partner Andrew Poole said in a media release.

In 2015 Chapman Tripp’s corporate and commercial team advised on more M&A deals and more ECM transactions than any other New Zealand firm and worked on New Zealand’s largest and most complex private equity deals.

The team continues to shape the ECM market in New Zealand advising NZX on the revision of listing rules and the establishment of the alterative NXT market, and it continues to pioneer work under the Financial Markets Conduct Act (FMCA) same class offer regime.
